Overview

OneUp for Square compliments your Square experience by adding a full accounting and inventory system alongside it. For each sale in Square, we create a corresponding invoice and customer payment in OneUp to record accounting for the sale. If the sale contained inventory items, we also create delivery notes to create inventory transactions in OneUp that adjust your stock level. OneUp also syncs returns and bank deposits to accurately account for this type of activity in your business.

Basic Functionality

Synchronizing between Square and OneUp is done through the "Connected Apps" panel in Settings. Only 'admin' users are able to run Square sync within OneUp.

During Synchronization, the following things are synced:

  • Square items: as OneUp products
  • Square sales: as OneUp invoices, customer payments, and delivery notes
  • Square sales: as OneUp receipts *when they happened outside a depositing period
  • Square refunds: as OneUp expenses
  • Square deposits: as OneUp bank transfers from the "Square Holdings" bank
  • Square fees: as neUp expenses

Installing

Square sync can only be set up with a fresh/new OneUp account at this time.

Go to your Square Apps Dashboard and select OneUp. 

Click Get Started and you will be brought to a pre-populated OneUp for Square signup form. Confirm the details, choose your password and country and click Create Account.

OneUp will ask you a few questions to get your account set up right, then take you to the OneUp Home screen.
